Well here we are still riding the wave that is COVID-19.  I am happy to say that my little town of Drayton Valley Alberta is still 100% COVID-FREE!  I don’t know what exactly it’s going to take to stop this whole deal in it’s tracks, but we’re getting there.  Slowly but surely.  Alberta has started to open it’s economy back up once more, and while certain restrictions and requirements remain in place, we’re all starting to get back to living life.

Now what does this mean for photographers?  I am super excited to share that we are now allowed to ‘open shop’ and get back to shooting!!!  Sessions can be held outdoors, on, location, and in studio provided social distancing is practiced, and proper sanitizing protocols are followed.   If shooting in a studio, a sanitizing station must be provided upon entrance to the studio.  Being that I am not currently equipped with a studio to shoot from, my clients and I only need to worry about the outdoor stuff!  😉

Things are still going to look a little bit different to all of us for da little while longer yet, but I for one am so happy we are starting to get some of our freedoms back and get back to living our lives.  My fingers are crossed hard that we are able to get back into the show pen as well real soon!

On another note, in light of the current restrictions in place pertaining to the size of group events allowed to be held, Alberta has recently in creased their 15 person limit, to 50 for all outdoor gatherings and events!  Many couples looking to get married this summer had put their plans on hold in light of the restrictions and venue closures.  These changes mean that many of those events will now be allowed to go forward!  Many couples have opted to forego the large weddings and elope.  While others are now adjusting their guest lists accordingly to fit within the new guidelines.  Whatever the case may be for you, know that we at Krystina Lynn Photography are here to help however we can!

I’ve recently teamed up with a very good friend of mine, Cydney Jensen, also know as “The Horse Trainers Wife” to many of you in the Western Performance Horse world!  We are working together to provide Photography and Videography packages to couples looking for an affordable option for their elopement, for their adjusted group gathering, or, in many cases, their rescheduled date for 2021.

2021 is looking to have double the number of typical weddings for a year and many photographers are already booked solid.  Cydney and I would be ecstatic to chat with you about options for your future special day and make sure you receive the photos and video clips to share with all those that were unable to attend as a result of the complications we have all faced this year.

Many folks have been hit hard this year, but if we all put our minds and our hearts in the game, 2020 can still be Your Year!  We can’t wait to assist with making that happen!  Our services can be booked as a package deal, or we can be booked individually as well.  Get in touch to discuss the best option for you and the Wedding of your dreams!

Love and Light,
